Towson Commons has another new tenant: Brown Rice Korean Grill says it will open in the York Road development later this month.
Brown Rice already has locations in Charles Village, Remington and White Marsh.
Its signature dish is bibimbap, a Korean dish of warm rice topped with namul (sautéed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili red pepper paste), soy sauce, or doenjang, a salty soybean paste. A fried egg and sliced protein are common additions. Proteins include beef, chicken, pork, fish squid, and three kinds of tofu (fried, smoked or steamed).
Brown Rice, which will not serve alcohol and whose hours were not immediately available, is expected to open in late July.
Towson Commons, which in years past housed a Borders bookstore and a movie theater, is now home to LA Fitness, the store Boho Nation, Hair Cuttery, CVS, and Chipotle.
