The former Hess shoe store, which has gone through many iterations, will have a new life soon, Baltimore Magazine reports.

“The new project, spearheaded by former Red Maple owner Leonard Clarke, will be a family-friendly spot to enjoy comfort food, weekend brunch, and local craft beer,” the magazine said.

It sounds very promising. Let’s hope it’s actual diner food and not a precious-but-not-tasty take on the idea of diner food.

I don’t think I would know any local goings-on if it weren’t for this blog. Thank you, Towson Flyer!
