ClimbZone in White Marsh is a new kind of indoor-rock-climbing experience, with gorgeously designed walls and an auto-belay system that allows climbers to descend on their own.
Some of the most popular walls include the space shuttle, a 28-foot-tall suit of armor, a tower of donuts, the Lincoln Memorial, and of course the Maryland wall complete with crabs and the state flag.
The hydraulic auto-belay system allows climbers to take control of their descent, returning to the ground without relying on another person. It’s fun for everyone, and parents say they love the fact that their kids feel such a sense of accomplishment after a climb.
