Update April 11: Baltimore County Police identified the victims from the April 9 homicides as Stanley B. Brunson, Jr., 29, of the 1500-block of E. Northern Parkway and Shameek Davone Joyner, 28, of the 5300-block of Leith Road. Both suffered trauma to their upper-bodies.

Court records show that Brunson had been charged in the past with a credit-card related crime and disorderly conduct. Joyner had been charged with multiple crimes, including theft and assault.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call 410-307-2020 or text 1-866-7LOCKUP.

Update April 10: Baltimore County Police said Tuesday that: “Investigators believe that the victims were targeted and there is not a threat to the general public. Detectives are actively investigating the murders and will release more information as if becomes available.”

Details about the victims have still not been released; police are still in the process of notifying their next of kin.

APRIL 9, 2018: A maintenance worker went inside a 5th floor apartment in the unit block of Lambourne Road this morning and found two dead males inside, Baltimore County Police said today. Both victims “were suffering from multiple trauma to their bodies and were pronounced dead at the scene,” police said.

The apartment building, located about two blocks north of the downtown traffic circle, has a secured access, police said. No further information about the victims or the crime was immediately available.

Rest in Peace Shameek! You leave behind a family who loved you dearly! You will never be forgotten!
The cousin you never met.

I want to know who the Resident is who left these guys in and what repercussions – if any – they will suffer. I hope for everyones sake they are evicted. This is why people are fighting to keep drugs out of their neighborhood.

A shame how much the same demonizing of the Victims
before they’re even buried
Yet the claim of no further details without apprehension of the killers are even caught or condemned

Absolutely poor journalism but nothing but sensationalism and insensitivity

I agree. But what can you expect from a poor local flyer. The fact that my cousin had a record is not the point! He was murdered in an environment that he felt comfortable to be at. You should focus on if the police found out who leases the apartment and who scheduled the “routine maintenance check” because no one (landlord or family member) is not allowed in my apartment in my absence without consent. And I hope whoever took the lives of these Men rot in hell.

Please don’t “blame the messenger”. The Flyer is not “a “poor local Flyer”. I understand your grief. However, having a prior record is information pertinent to the investigation. The Flyer is a very good journalistic source. They publish available information without censorship.
