Police identify 14-year-old killed by fallen tree in Timonium

Baltimore County Police today released the name of the girl who was killed in Timonium on Thursday when a tree fell on the car she was in. Police say 14-year-old Ahjee S. Lawrence of Hogarth Circle in Cockeysville was the victim. She was in 8th grade at Cockeysville Middle School.

As police reported earlier: “Shortly after 5:30 p.m. on August 3, 2017, Baltimore County Police and Fire Departments received calls for a fatal car crash on Pot Spring Road at Deer Fox Lane, 21093. Responding personnel saw that a tree had fallen on top of a Hyundai Sonata, traveling southbound on Pot Spring Road, with four people inside the car. Due to the extensive damage to the car, Lutherville Volunteer Fire Co., Squad 303 used a crane to remove the tree from a top the car. A landscaper also assisted the Fire Department in removing the tree.

A 14 year-old girl seated in the rear of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two passengers, a 16 year-old girl and a 13 year-old girl were injured and transported to the Johns Hopkins Children Center by Cockeysville Volunteer Fire Co., Medic 395, with non-life threatening injuries. The driver, who is the mother of the deceased child, was transported to a local hospital, also with non-life threatening injuries.”
