Police seek help finding kidnapping, robbery suspect

Police say: The Baltimore County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a November 5 kidnapping and attempted robbery.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., a 34-year-old woman was in the parking lot of the Babies-R-Us in the 1200 block of Putty Hill Avenue 21286. She was putting her one-year-old daughter and two-month-old son into her car when the suspect approached her. The suspect told her that he had a gun and threatened to shoot her if she screamed. The suspect told the victim to get in the car and they drove from the parking lot.

As they drove away, the suspect told the woman to go to the bank and she told him that her wife had all the credit cards. The suspect had her to drive back to the parking lot where they waited for the woman’s wife. When the woman’s wife came up to the vehicle, the woman told her that the suspect needed money. The suspect then became involved in an altercation with the woman’s wife and later ran away without taking anything.

Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt.

Detectives had a composite sketch of the suspect done.

This incident is under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Robbery Unit.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
