Sprouts Farmers Market, an Arizona-based chain, is set to open Wednesday, July 25, on Goucher Boulevard in Towson. The store features produce (conventional and organic), a butcher, a deli, lots of bulk food, vitamins and more.
It’s aiming to be a “one-stop shop” for conventional shoppers as well as the I-need-everything-to-be-organic-and-free-range crowd.
Sprouts is joining an ever-growing marketplace of grocers in the greater Towson area, and not all stores are expected to survive. ALDI is opening this Thursday in Lutherville at the corner of York and Ridgely roads.
Additionally, MOM’s Organic Market in Lutherville is expanding to incorporate the empty space next door so it can add a lunch counter. Its Hampden store in the renovated Rotunda already has one.
At the Sprouts grand opening on Wednesday, the first 200 shoppers will receive 20 percent off their initial total purchase; muffin and coffee samples will be served to everyone in line before the doors open; upon checkout, every 15th shopper will receive a coupon book featuring Sprouts savings; every customer will receive one free reusable bag with purchase.
Sprouts is located at 803 Goucher Boulevard in Towson.
