The Charmery in Towson is opening sooner than anticipated, the ice cream shop said Tuesday. Instead of opening in mid-June, it will open its doors on Saturday, May 26 at noon.
“This Saturday our summer menu will be dropping: Sixteen delightful flavors, two non-dairy options, it’s going to be … delicious,” said owners Laura and David Alima.
One of the summer flavors was made especially for the Towson location: Rocky York Road, which is chocolate ice cream with peanuts and marshmallow sauce.
The Charmery has taken over the long-vacant Mini Mart space at 6807 York Road in the Stoneleigh and Anneslie neighborhood, in between Pure Raw Juice and Villagio Cafe. All ice cream at The Charmery, whose flagship location is in Hampden, is homemade in-house.
The Towson hours will be Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 11PM and Sunday through Thursday from noon to 10PM.
