Because there just aren’t enough reasons to dress up the kids and go dancing, WTMD’s Saturday Morning Tunes is hosting a Mini Masquerade Ball at the Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric. The May 5 event is a fundraiser for WTMD’s children’s programming.
Held in the Lyric’s open, multi-level lobby and concourse (not in the big room with the fixed seating), the Mini Masquerade Ball is everything you love about parties, just for parents and little ones.
It starts at 10 a.m. and ends at noon, so everyone can be home in time for naps.
They’ll have one of the best party bands in town, the Bachelor Boys Band, playing all of your favorite kid-appropriate dance songs.
Bmore HoopLove will present a hula-hooping stilt walker, a juggling uni-cyclist and interactive hula-hoopers. Plus: arts and crafts, a masquerade-themed photo booth from Baltimore Photo Social (with lots of props) and more!
Dresses, button-down shirts and ties are strongly encouraged. Bring your own masks, or make one there at the arts and crafts tables. If your little one doesn’t like wearing masks, their expert face painter could apply one that lasts a bit longer.
They’ll have crust-less Sun Butter and marshmallow sandwiches and other fancy finger foods – and drinks, including a sparkling cider toast at 11 a.m. (They’re all included in the ticket price.) Oh, and for the adults? Coffee. Lots of coffee — and snacks (included in the ticket price). Also: some slightly stronger beverages as well (these, however, are priced separately).
Be sure to get your tickets in advance!
