Five males — described as teens or young men — are accused of punching a 69-year-old man and then stealing his car from downtown Towson on Tuesday morning, Baltimore County Police say.
The incident happened just after 6:30AM at York Road and Washington Avenue, about a block north of the traffic circle in downtown Towson. Baltimore City Police officers then spotted the car, a Honda CR-V, in East Baltimore. Several suspects fled the car as the police pursued it, but the driver, a 15-year-old boy, was apprehended after crashing the car near Kenwood Avenue and East Biddle Street. He will be charged as a juvenile.
Baltimore County Police said they also linked the same suspects to a car theft in Essex in which the car was ultimately abandoned in downtown Towson that same morning.
Why don’t you include descriptions of the perps? Even if just general buld, race, complexion, attire. Anything might cause someone else to realize they had seen something that might lead to the capture of such miscreants.
That information was not provided in this case, and is almost never provided in the precinct reports. And we generally only include that type of information if it would truly help readers identify someone. White man in black jacket = not helpful. 6’3″ white man with jagged scar under his left eye who was wearing a black leather jacket with red skulls on the back = helpful.
