Roland Park asks residents to ditch “Black Lives Matter” and other yard signs

The Roland Park Civic League has asked residents to remove yard signs declaring that Black Lives Matter or that All Are Welcome Here because they are “clutter” and “a nuisance” and violate city code.

But, as the Baltimore Sun reports, Baltimore City actually sees it differently. Read the Sun story here.

The Rodgers Forge Community Association’s newsletter advised residents about 10 years ago that “Civil Marriage is a Civil Right” yard signs were an eyesore.

The neighborhood is now dotted with “All Are Welcome Here” and “No matter where you are from, we’re glad you’re our neighbor” signs.
