The suspect(s) primarily target townhome neighborhoods, checking windows and doors to see if they’ve been left unlocked. Once inside, the burglar(s) quickly take any small valuables, such as wallets, credit cards, phones, cash, and laptop computers or tablets, and immediately leave. In a number of cases, car keys left out in the open have been taken and used to steal the victim’s vehicle.
