A new lunch spot has opened in downtown Towson. Baltimore Soup Company is on Chesapeake Avenue, next to 7-11, and is open from 11 AM to 3 PM on weekdays.
From the website: With its wholesome, natural ingredients, local suppliers and unique flavors, Baltimore Soup Company serves great tasting and good for you soups, salads and sandwiches to discriminating Baltimoreans.
We pay attention to the little things, that’s why all of our soups are made by hand and in limited quantities each and every day, ensuring that the journey from our cutting boards to your table is the shortest and freshest possible. There are never any artificial ingredients or preservatives in our soups. Our made from scratch stocks are the base of each and every soup we make and each stock is carefully blended and slowly simmered to bring out it’s rich, deep and unique flavors. Nothing is rushed, no shortcuts are taken.
We began making our soups way back in 1992, with the mission of bringing hearty, high quality and made from scratch soups to the hungry, busy folks of Baltimore. We started out making all our soup in our first store on Joppa Road in Towson, a small kitchen at the back of our first cafe, and word quickly spread. . . .
Over the past 25 years, we’ve created hundreds of different soups, eventually moving our kettles to downtown Towson, and then to a spacious kitchen in the Central Business District of Baltimore. Now, our Executive Chef Lisa Redmond and her staff mind the kettles in our Timonium location.
There, our team is dedicated to creating more tasty and innovative small batch soups, along with dreaming up delicious new sandwiches built on locally baked bread and fresh and healthy salads using local vegetables and produce.
