Towson Town Center is changing the exterior of the mall that faces Fairmount Avenue, Councilman David Marks said today.
“As part of this project, they will be adding a new entrance which will be flanked on each side by a fast-casual dining establishment,” he said in a statement. “I am very pleased that Towson Town Center is refreshing such a visible part of the shopping center. I also appreciate our ongoing and constructive discussions about transportation and security here. Towson Town Center dates back to 1952 and is an essential economic hub for the county.”
Construction will happen from August to November, he said, and the restaurants, which have not been identified, will open in 2017.
The project is being funded solely by mall owner, General Growth Properties, Marks said.
