The Maryland Board of Education will vote today on what scores high school students need to receive on the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) tests in order to graduate.
As Liz Bowie of The Baltimore Sun reports: “With thousands of students now failing the tests, the school board must balance its desire to have high standards with the reality that keeping those standards would prevent many students from getting a diploma.”
